Artemis Analytical is the latest company to join the STFC CERN Business Incubation Centre. The Univeristy of Manchester spin-out is using ultra-sensitive quantum technologies, developed at CERN, to speed up carbon dating and lower costs. Artemis Analytical's technology can be used in a range of disciplines such as archaeology, forensics, artworks, identifying counterfeit wines and whisky.
The start-up will be joining the STFC CERN Business Incubation Centre at Daresbury Laboratory, Sci-Tech Daresbury. It will be able to benefit from access to STFC and CERN's intelletual property, technologies and expertise as well as collaboration opportunities, networking and funding.
